Out of Control

Whatever happened to Thanksgiving? They keep artifically extending the Christmas season. It's no longer "12 Days of Christmas" but twenty-five. And if that weren't enough, we have to countdown to those "25 Days of Christmas." Does anybody else think this is out of control?

I love Christmas and already feel like putting up the tree. But I do kind of think that decorating store for Christmas right after Halloween is a bit much.

I'm afraid I'm a HUGE Christmas fan. As a kid, I started playing the Carpenter's Christmas record once school started in September. I've learned how to control myself better, and now I don't start listening to Christmas carols until after Halloween. However, I do have the advantage of living in Canada where Thanksgiving is the 2nd week in October. I don't think I could live without having almost 2 months of pre-Christmas build up. Of course, that does make the post-Christmas crash that much worse. But, for me, it's a price worth paying. :)

Simple just move your thanksgiving to October like your neighbours to the north and volia! Problem solved!

Seriously though, we have a rule no christmas decorations go up until December 1st. It's hard to wait but always fun to look forward to!
