Why We Don't Live in Renton

Hooters too upscale for us, some Renton locals say...

Spencer here. I've never posted before, but had to share this great article I read in the Seattle Times today. Apparently the new Hooters in Renton is going to fail because it's just too ritzy for the local residents. This begs the question, is Hooters too classy for your neighborhood? If so, you should move!

A Little Update

Van is doing well. He's happy and healthy. We had a well check appointment this morning and he's twenty-one pounds, thirty-two inches. He's also communicating more and more. So far he can say ball, dog, daddy, up, hi, and hot. He refers to books as "baba, baba" which translates to "brown bear, brown bear." Lately, he really enjoys hiding in our closet underneath Spencer's dress shirts. It's too funny.

Science Center

Saturday we had the opportunity to meet up with family at the Pacific Science Center. It was a beautiful fall day; Van enjoyed exploring the grounds before heading into the educational and interactive museum.

Weekend Getaway

Spencer and I are heading to Whistler for the weekend. Van will be staying with James and Tracy while we are away. Should be fun!

Too Early

Just saw a Christmas commercial from Sears tonight. Too early.

Big Boy Seat

Van has moved up to a forward facing car seat and we are all loving it. The one we decided to go with was the Recaro Young Sport. Thanks Joie for the great recommendation, it's really wonderful. We used diapers.com for the purchase, and got $25.00 off and free shipping. Plus, it was delivered in a day and a half.

This Week

We were all away from home this week. Spencer was in Colorado for sales training; Van and I were in Birch Bay with family. Van got carsick during the drive and threw up. (Fourth time this has happened). While we were there it rained and he splashed through mud puddles. He also got over his fear of Elmo and signed "bird" for the first time.
