Last Wednesday we took the kids to Wheeler Farm for their annual fall event. The kids enjoyed a wagon ride, a walk through the corn maze, and picking out pumpkins.
Last week, during fall break, we took Van to This is the Place Heritage Park for their annual Little Haunts. It was a beautiful day and Van had a great time. My mom made the little Batman costume for my brother years ago, glad we could use it.
I pulled out some of my old Halloween books to read with Van this month and this one seems to be his favorite. He asks me to read it over and over again. His favorite part is when the 'very huge, very orange, very scary pumpkin head' says BOO, BOO!
Since Spencer has the week off, we've been teaching Van a little bit about going to the potty. To get him excited I set up the bathroom with new underwear, a sticker chart, a basket of books, M&M's, and pictures of other kids using the potty. He's understanding more about what happens when he needs to go and we've had one real success so far.
Fall has arrived. Saturday we drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon to hike Doughnut Falls. It was a perfect day for a hike. Van did an excellent job and seemed to have a lot of fun. We look forward to exploring more of the canyons here on the Wasatch Front.
