Over the weekend I helped
my sister put together a birthday party for her daughter, Ellery, who was turning two. She had wanted to go to the
Hogle Zoo, but due to some temperamental weather, the plans were changed to
Kangaroo Zoo.
Afterwards we went to my parents place for dinner and gifts. The spread was "a la zoo" which included hot dogs, shelled peanuts, over sized pretzels, kettle corn, and salt water taffy. The party favors were animal crackers in polka-dot bags, tied off with ric-rac.
Ellie was showered with gifts and enjoyed every minute of it. The girls' Gramdma even brought a book for both Van and Sydnee, which was so thoughtful. And of course there was Gus, who was the hit of the party.
