Advent Calendar

I saw this advent calendar DIY via Pinterest and immediately fell in love. Once I formatted all of the labels on the computer, it really wasn't that hard to put together. The first step was printing out the tags. Second, spray painting the clothespins and third...putting it all together. It's been really fun to do special holiday activities with the kids each day and have the spirit of Christmas in our home.

{Sorry for the poor photos - it was late, dark, and taken with my phone. Wishing I had documented it better.}

Over the last few weeks, Gus' vocabulary has really taken off. He is saying new words daily; you can see him sounding them out and working through them in his head. It's been really fun to watch. Here is a list of some of his new words: bus, Van, brother, cereal, waffle, mine, George, Papa, Nick, robot, turtle, please, Gramma, hair, shoes, pickle, cheese, night-night, brush, hat, hot, socks, poo-poo, truck, cracker, animal, thanks, cookie, bike, amen.

Giving Thanks

I'm grateful for a wonderful family who continues to support us in all of our life decisions. I'm grateful for a loving, kind, helpful, hard-working husband who is giving all he has to bless my life and the lives of our boys. I'm grateful for life-long friends who make me laugh, who make me cry, and who inspire me every single day. I'm grateful for two perfect little boys who are the best things that have ever happened to me and make me the woman and mother I am today. I'm grateful for the joy and peace that the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings into my life and the knowledge I have of the plan of salvation.

Life is good.
