St. Patrick's Day Party

I put together a little St. Patrick's Day Party for Van and his friends. It included lunch, a craft and game, cookies, and a treasure hunt. For the craft the kids made their own leprechaun puppet.
I was inspired by this cut-out and made a giant leprechaun for a ball toss game.
After lunch the kids were able to frost and decorate shamrock cookies; more frosting ended up in their mouths than on the cookies.
Before the kids all went home they were sent on a treasure hunt to find their goodie bags. They had to follow a trail of gold coins that led them to the leprechaun's pot.
Judging by the good time had by all, I think it's safe to say the party was a success.

Little Visitors

We had our annual visit from the leprechauns this year. Van was excited about his little green goodies.

Happy Birthday

Today is my mom's birthday. She's a wonderful mother and a fantastic grandma; my boys simply adore her. It has been a great blessing having her so close during this transitional time. I will be forever grateful.

My Gus

I'm in love with my little Gus. My favorite time of the day is when he's just finished his morning feeding and wants to chat, just me and him. It's heaven.

Warmth

Today's high is 62 degrees and I'm loving it. To celebrate, we went to the park.

Krispie Treats

We have had some bouts of crummy weather so for fun Van and I have been making Rice Krispie Treats. Van calls them 'Christmas treats', as you can tell he likes them.

Story Time

Gus really loves his big brother Van.
