San Diego

Our trip to San Diego was fantastic. We had a wonderful time with Spencer's parents. They showed us around the city like true professionals. On Friday we walked through Presidio Park and Old Town. Saturday morning we were able to meet up with my longtime friend, Nichole and her daughter Maliyah.Early in the evening on Saturday we headed off to Coronado Island and Imperial Beach. It was so beautiful. I forget how much I love watching the surf and strolling through the sand. We even let Van test it out. After attending our church meetings on Sunday we took a stroll through Heritage Park. It's a beautiful park dedicated to preserving the city's Victorian architecture. We ended the night with some of Shirley's tasty pie and an exciting game of Monarchy.
Monday we went to Balboa Park; the largest urban park in America. It was gorgeous. The buildings were stunning and the gardens were amazing. I wish we had had more time there, there was so much more to see. Before heading home we made a quick stop at In-N-Out; yum.All in all, it was a great vacation. The weather was perfect, the company delightful, and food delicious. Van had so much fun with his grandparents. He loved reading books with Grandma and going on early morning walks with Grandpa. Can't wait to go back!

7 Months

Van is growing up so fast. I can't believe he's seven months. The little guy is doing so many things that continue to make his mommy and daddy proud. He is crawling, sitting, babbling, pulling himself up to standing position, and using a raking grasp (he's working on his pincer). He's fascinated with how his hands and fingers work and loves to shake things.
