Staples
Last Friday Van cut his head open at his friend Ian's house. He received five staples to close the wound. He was very brave and hardly cried. Here is his account of what happened that day:"I was playing with my friend Ian. And it wasn't bike time. And he pushed me off his bike. I hit my head on the corner. Then, we play with play dough and I look at my hand and say, 'What's that?' And Ian's mom, Lindsay, says 'Oh, you're bleeding!' And then we go to the hospital and I get five staples. And Mommy tells the doctor 'One at a time' (??). And I didn't cry, only a little bit. And I get a sucker and a sticker."
The staples come out on Monday.
