On Monday we sent Spencer off to California. On Tuesday we had appointments. On Wednesday we watched cousin Hudson. On Thursday we watched cousins Sydnee and Ellery. On Friday we went to IKEA. That night Van got sick. On Saturday we did laundry, and even more laundry. Today, I pack. Tomorrow, our vacation begins.
In case you haven't already heard. Spencer's working as a carny this summer. He's going to be running a fast pitch booth at several funfairs. He's currently on a three week stint in California. We're hoping this adventure will be profitable and give him enough downtime to prepare dental school applications and study for the DAT.
He's been wearing them for a week now. No accidents since Thursday. Dry Pull-Ups during nap time. Makes a momma proud.
After Spencer finished all of his exams we knew we needed to do something fun. Van said, "We need to get up to the mountains. Let's go hiking Daddy." So that's just what we did. We took a quick jaunt up the Lisa Falls Trail. It was a perfect, little hike that led to a waterfall.
Today was one of my happiest days. Van went poo-poo on the potty! I'm so, so proud of him. We've been waiting a long time for this day to come and it finally arrived. I'm just so very happy and still can't believe that it actually happened.
