One
Just received my Photo 101 book in the mail this week (anniversary gift from Spencer). New Year's resolution number one: to learn how to use my new camera (also a gift).
Making it Lovely
I've been spending a lot of time looking at the fabulous blog, Making it Lovely. Beautiful. I wish there was a color I loved as much as Nicole loves pink.

Camera Hog
Here Van is wondering why I'm taking pictures of the kitchen and not him. Check out our listing and spread the word.

For Rent
Spencer and I are looking to move. We found a three bedroom that we love, but need to make sure our current place is filled. If you know anyone looking for a great two bedroom to rent ours is available. You can find a detailed listing here on Craigslist.

Settlers of Catan
While we were in Utah over Christmas my brothers got us hooked on Settlers of Catan and we've been playing ever since. I surprised Spencer with the board game as an anniversary present. We played with his parents while they were visiting. It was the first time I had ever seen anyone give cards away in fear of rolling a seven.

Grandma and Grandpa
We were delighted to have Grandma and Grandpa Burnham stop by for a quick visit on Tuesday. They have been serving a mission in San Diego so we haven't been able to see much of them. Now they will be serving in Vancouver and we will get to see them more often.
Van's Words
There have been some really cute first words books floating around, here and here. Now Van has one of his very own. After taking pictures of Van's things, I used Shutterfly to create the photo book. It was then wrapped up and put under the tree for Christmas.
The Quilt
Last August, I was inspired by this lap quilt Amy Smart made for the Blair family. I thought it would be the perfect little quilt for when Van moves into a toddler bed. So I made one. I ordered some pre-cut squares from Amy's Etsy shop, picked out a few fabrics of my own, and voila! It was a lot of work and I couldn't have done it without help from friends and family. A special thanks to my mom for hand stitching the binding.
