I can't wait for Spencer's first real paycheck to come on December 7th. I'm so excited to drive down to Bellevue and buy some beautiful gift wrap and ribbons from Paper Source.
Last December I was introduced to Pandora Radio. It's a free internet radio where you can listen to basically any song, artist, or genre that you want. You just type in a favorite song or artist and they'll play it, plus songs with musical similarities. I love it for the holidays. I get to listen to all the free Christmas music I could ever hope for.
I've had a few sleepless nights with this chest cold I've been fighting, so to pass the time I watch the Home Shopping Network or infomercials. Now, I'm not normally a sucker for these sorts of things, but after seeing the advertisements for Bare Minerals and Acne Complex, I was an immediate believer. Is it true that they're really fantastic? Maybe . . . Sephora carries both products.
For my birthday we went up to Vancouver for a couple days. Even though I wasn't feeling 100% better, I had a great time. We enjoyed great company at the Rolfson home, window shopping on West 4th, sipping yummy hot chocolate, hiking through Lynn Valley, and strolling through the public market on Granville Island.
Tomorrow my friend Leslie turns 27. She is an incredible friend, with a great heart and an awesome sense of humor. Here's hoping she has a wonderful day.
I consider myself to be a pretty organized person, but it always helps to have a calendar handy to keep track of things. The thing I like most about this Kate Spade calendar is the amount of space there is to write in each day.
It has been almost a week since I first caught the cold that is currently plaguing me. I thought that it would only take a few days to run through my system, but it's day six now and I'm still coughing all the time. While I do feel worlds better than three days ago, I wish it was over and done with.
Last night my youngest brother Nick was set apart as a full-time missionary. Today we had the opportunity to go with the family to the MTC and see him off. I was a little surprised at how well my family did with the goodbye. Nick will be an awesome missionary; the people in the Dominican Republic are so lucky to get him.
On Saturday I went to the Utah football game with my family. We've had season tickets for as long as I can remember and it's been a few years since I've actually been home for a game. The Utes played Wyoming and killed them. It was a lot of fun. Spencer chose to stay home and fight off his cold.
We're headed to Utah today. There are a lot of things going on back home right now; Angie just had her baby, Tony's turning 23 on Monday, and Nick leaves for his mission on Wednesday. I'm almost positive we'll be having an early Thanksgiving dinner as well . . . yummy!
Spencer had to get a Smartphone for his new job. After two days of researching networks, prices, and options, he finally decided on this Palm Treo with Verizon. It's a good thing the company is paying for his phone expenses.
Spencer received his long awaited offer from OpenTable today. He will be the Account Executive for Seattle, Portland, Boise, and Anchorage. OpenTable is the leading supplier of reservation, table management and guest management software for restaurants. This is an awesome opportunity for him and we're very excited.
The afternoon consisted of playing in Boulevard Park, strolling the boardwalk along Bellingham Bay, and having hot cocoa at The Woods Coffee house. By the end of the day I had fallen in love with this little city.
I've been wanting a new digital camera for a little while now and this is the one I've been eyeing. I'd be in heaven . . . sharper images, brighter colors, better zoom. The list goes on!
Sunny was Cinderella for Halloween this year and I was able to help out with her hair. All it took was a quick blow dry, some hairspray, and bobby pins. I think it turned out pretty good. She was a big hit with the trick-or-treaters.
